Students will be reminded to give constructive criticism and point out the successful parts of each work.
· Questions that will be asked of the class while critiquing others’ work…

o Is the artist’s stance on the social issue evident? Does the artist’s stance on the issue have to be evident? Why or why not?
o Is the piece successful in making an impression on you personally?
o How do you feel about the artist’s choice of placement within the school?
o How does the artwork make you feel?
o What is successful about this piece? (Ask about composition, color choices, word use, symbol use, positive and negative space)
o What is not so successful about the piece? How would you improve it?
· After the class critique, the artist will shed light on the class about their artwork. At this time, the student will talk to the class about their artwork and social issue as well as how they correlate for about 5 minutes.
